Tint Suggestions?

Ok Hi, I have a 96 Metalic Red 4 DR. Explorer XLT. Now I wanted to get my windows tinted dark to hide my system with flip up screen and what not. Well I have the stock privacy glass in the rear windows. Its kinda gay its mirrored glass with a bronze tint to it. Well I wanted to see what u guys have done with ur tint jobs with this kinda glass. If anyone has any suggestions on how dark to go or whatever or has pics post em here. Cuz what I think I may do is 20% in the rear and 5% on the two front windows..Let me know what u guys think...ok Later

I have 5% on the rears and 35% on the fronts which is the legal limit in the state of Maryland.
However I have the bronz.

As a tip for your own safety I would not go beyond the legal limit.

Does anyone know the stock tint number of the ford explorers?

I want to match my 2 middle windows with the back.

On 95-97's the back windows are tinted 17% stock.

I got 27% put on the front and kept 27% on the back. It matched very well and its difficult to see inside! I got the front mirrored as you can tell

Bronze looks good on red X's. You don't like it? Just tint over the backs and sides and then go as dark as legally possible on the driver's and passenger's doors.

20% all around

man, i just realized how old that picture is.. dumped the tails (smoke the stocks), and those wipers are gone, stickers everywhere, top rack is all gone, repainted tupperware and step bars, hm, maybe i'm getting onto something

love the tint. no matter how dark you go, you'll always get the blacked out look like in the above pictures by the other guys with the glare. tint or not, won't stop robbers, but 15-20% should be okay for you.

MattStarr ur tint looks good..the only mirrord finish u can get here in brooklyn is the gay chrome finish look...it wouldnt match the stock finish..

Thanks.....I went to a shop and asked them to match it... Its some type of bronze tint thats all METAL!! You think of tint being plastic, but this tint is actually just a piece of thin metal believe it or not!!!

5% in back 20% in front. If you ever do any night time offroading you may truly regret the 5% and wish it was 20%

im gettin 5% on the cargo area, and 20% on all 4 front windows, and like 35% on the windsheild, with 20% mirror all around.

i first did 5% limo all around, the back has a nice mirror to it, when i got pulled over for my speeding ticket, the cop was trying to see in with his mag light, and he finally just gave up and asked me if there was somone back there, lol.

recently took off the 5% on the front two, i think i'm gonna go with 20 or 35...not sure yet. once i took off the 5% on the front two, i definitly felt like i lost a lot of privacy.
