My 00' sport has 255/70r/16's and I have been looking at tires for hours.I really like the look of the General Grabber at2, the Hankook dyna pro atm rf10. I have had great luck with General tires in the past, but don't know much about the Hankook's. Cooper has a tire as well i like. Any suggestions?
I don't like any Firestone tires and have had bad luck with Wranglers too.
I have also notices most of the explorers seem to be running 225's instead of the 255's. I baught this "as is" with 16" alloy wheels. I am pretty sure they are stock.
Any suggestions will be appriciated.
Oh, I am wanting a good "all terrain" tire.

x2!!

Not sure who is running a "225", would look like a bicycle tire on an Explorer. May want to look into a 265/75/16 assuming your Ex isnt lifted.

nah it's stock and will remain that way. It's basically just a work truck. Any particular BFG?
I read a couple other posts and even on some tire sites it gives the 225 as factory size. Ithaught it was a little skinny myself.
I was about to ask if a 265/75/16 would fit a stock truck.
Thanks for the quick responces.

you have the factory 16" tire option, That came with a 30" tire, which is a 255/70r16. My suggestion would be like everyone else, BFG all terrain, or if you have the money, Michelin LTX AT2.

and a 265/75r16 may fit, but a 265/70R16 definitely will, that's a 31x10.5 metric tire.
