Tire help for stock 02: 265 or 255? AT or HT?

Hey guys its about time for new tires and i want to go bigger since the stock 235/70 16 look way to small. I've been reading the forum all day but i still cant decide so I'd like some opinions.

I like the look of the 265/70 16 All Terrain but i dont really need an AT. I drive mostly highway and i will be moving to atlanta soon so the weather isnt bad. Do you think a 265 highway tire would look silly? I was considering the Continental Cross Contact LX or Yoko Geolander H/T-S GO51. Or do you think i should go with a 255/70 for highway tire? Will there be much of a handling difference between an HT or AT? Also will the MPG change much with the larger tire and will a HT be better than AT? If i went with an AT i was considering the Yoko A/T-S 265/70 16. I also like the Fuzion XTi but i havent found much info about them. Any suggestions please?

Welcome VTNYR6!! Those are good questions... HTs, depends on what your vehicle looks like. I say if you're going for a larger tire, what is your main purpose for it? If you want a more aggressive looking tire, go for the AT. Just my opinion on the HT, no, don't do it.

Wow! You might wanna wait and do a rim/tire combo... That's a helluva vehicle! Extremely clean... You want the appearance to be more street than off road, no?

Yea i wanted to put 20's on but I dont think its worth the money at this point. It has about 87k miles and I will probably sell in another year or so. That pic was from about 2 years ago too so shes not as clean anymore either haha. I like the street look better, i really wanted to put on hypersilver saleen style rims. But if im stayin with the stock 16's the AT might look better.

I'd say, go to a tire shop and ask them to try on the AT styles the you like, and see what you think. If you do the AT, you will be tempted to switch out the rims to a wider style...
especially if you spend $$$ on ATs, you'll want a diff rim. You think so?
