Ok, so I'm pretty new to owning a Ford Explorer. Went out today to check my tire pressure for the first time since I bought it (couple of weeks ago) and found it to be 28psi. The lable on the door jam says it should be 26, but this sounds really low to me. I'm used to keeping the tires on my car at 32.

I did do a search before posting, and it sounds like Ford amended its recommended pressure to 30psi. Just wondering if this is what other people here use.

BTW, the tires are BF Goodrich Long Trail Radial T/A 235/75TR15, and I really don't do any offroading.

Thanks

I'm running about 32 with Dayton Timberlines. Tires say max 41 PSI if I remember right.

Check the actual tires and not the door panel.

The tires only list their maximum inflation pressure and you dont really want to run your tires there all the time. Ford Amended their tire pressusre recomendations to about 30-32, most Tire shops reccomend at least 32psi in your tires and i run about 33 on the explorer
