Indeed, but no tire should be run at its max PSI unless it's also being run at its max load as well. Running a tire at half load and max PSI will result in a hard ride, and excessive wear around the center of the tire due to an over-inflation condition.
The pressure on the door sticker is only good for the OEM size, make, and model tires. Replace them with anything but the original tires, and the pressure listed on the sticker is no longer guaranteed to be the correct number. It *might* be, but it depends on a whole bunch of other factors.
The company that manufactured your tires will know best what pressure they should be run at for any given load. Instead of guessing, I ask the experts.
