If I were to replace the stockers (16") with 17x9's what tire size would you recommend? I want to stay with a normal light truck/off-road type tire, not a low profile performance tire. thanks! By the way for that type of wheel what would be a useable offset? thanks again!!!

Ok two things about the wheels.
1.Offroad tires are VERY expensive for 17" rims
2.The lower the profile of the tire, the less rubber you will have making contact with the ground when you air down
something to think about......

ive heard only good things about the BFG A/T KO's.

the only signifigant advantage to a 17" rim, is that there is less sidewall, therefore less flex of the tire.

the down falls are that the tires are expensive.

Thanks guys... I know all about aspect ratio and I'm very familiar with performance tires. That's why I ask about light truck tires. :)

Are you planning on using your truck to go off road with?
If so, keep the 16" rims or even go down to a 15" rim. For off roading the smaller rim is better.
