I have been reading reviews till I am almost blue to the face, in short I am bit unsure of what I actually may need. I live in central florida where everything is spread out. I estimate I drive about 75miles a week (which is a tad high) but I am looking for a stock replacement tire set and I am unsure of what I should be looking for, since there will be no off roading.. well maybe a median hop but thats about it. what are some brands people have had good experience with?

I'll toss in the first vote for Michelin LTX M/S.

If $ is a concern, check out treadwright.com they have a LT235/75/15 BFG AT like tire for $61.35. I have seen rave reviews for them, and have friends who are at 70k miles on their sets.

locally everyone seems to have a kumo tire fitting my description/size. Typically when I ran the exstas I found a quick wear and un-even wear. do they still suffer from this?

At 75 miles a week those will dryrot and outlast his truck and his next truck.

From my own experiences I steer clear of Kumo. I had them on my car and they were some of the fastest wearing tires I've ever used. I think I got 12k out of their 50k tires.

glad to see a response about the kumo's and them holding up to their usual standards, had the z rated ones on a car and they were a nightmare.

I had pretty good results from Kumho ECSTA HP4 716 tires I put on my g/f's 03 Honda Civic EX coupe. The first set lasted long, and wore evenly. The second set wore a bit fast, and wore evenly. The third set was on the car when it was sold. That owner had them for quite a while.

Granted, they did not reach their 50,000 mile warranty, but they were half the price of a "better" tire. I think I was paying $44 each for a 205-60-15.

During the winter on my Paseo, I run 185-60-14 Pirelli Winter Carving Edge on the fronts, 185-60-14 Kumho ECSTA HP4 716 on the rears.
