OK I am a weirdo and instead of going with taller/ wider tires on my X. I want an AT tread but I want a tire that is wider than stock. I road drive way more than I play in loose stuff so I want to keep stock Tire height to keep speedo true, fuel milage, road manners, and so on. but I want to use a wider than stock tire. do they even make an all terrain tire in goofy sizes like I want (Im thinking 255/60/15 or what ever it takes to bring it back to the same height as my 235)
or am I on crack.
I would love to hear some other Ideas.

lol, you can find BFG's in all the stasndard sizes as well as light truck sizes.

My advice is to go pick up a set of 30 x 9.50's and enjoy. They are just a touch taller but you shouldn't notice. I ran this size for 3 months at stock height with no problems, 1 year with a mild lift no issues either.

i was lookin at tire sizes u might like and super swamper's all terrain trxus sts has a 30"x11.50" wide. and u said u wanted wider... oh wait jus noticed they also have 29"x10.50. thats pretty close to stock height right there. and its wider... and its an allterrain tire... and they cost a lil less than a 30x9.50 bfg allterrain. not by much though. anyways jus a thought...

i had 30x9.5 tires for about a year and it was fine. I have a 92 im not sure what the newer models are like but from what i understand 30 in tire should fit stock height. Good luck on getting anyone put 30in tires on there for you. Discount tire wont touch it, Tire kingdom did it for me.

I am not worried about getting them mounted our truck maintance shop has a tire machine and a wheel balancer Im looking for cash and carry tires. I will take a look at the swampers but I think I want something that wares better. I have been looking at Yokohama Geolandar A/T Plus II 30/9.5/15

The BFG A/T's wear great and work great!
After 15'000 miles they showed very little wear. Of course I traded them in on 33" Mud terrain's, but the guy at Discount Tire gave me $250 trade in so they must have been in pretty good shape.

The only problem with using Discount Tire to get tires, was packing 5-33's in a Kia Rio. But they fit :D
