Right now I think i want to use my ford recall (they have moved up the date to Nov. 15 now as the last day you can do this) to buy some bigger tires for my truck. I am planning in the future to get a 2" lift via shackles and a torsion twist, but for right now i want to make sure that the tires will fit because i wont be able to change them later without having to pay again.

So my questions are: Are 31" tires the max to fit under stock w/out rubbing? And will a ST raised 2" w/31's look stupid?

thanks
taylor

If you're going for the lift, get at least 32". The 31's will make your ST looks really funny with the 2" lift.

The OEM tires are almost 31" if converted the metric size to flotation.

no way, i think it would till look good. you won't rub for sure, u may rub if ya get 32's on there. good luck on whatever u decide.

I would go with 32's. I got 31's on my 2001 ST with the shackle/TT lift and they look too small.

31s will fit perfectly with a 2" lift. 32s might rub a bit in the wheelwells. I have a 96 Sport with a 2" lift and the 31s are perfect, I'd need another inch to inch and a half to fit 32s. But, the 2001s may be different. Good luck!

The best thing would be to get the lift, then measure to see the biggest tire you can fit without rubbing.
