Tire size question.

thinking of putting 265/75 r15 on stock rims on my '99 xlt. any downsides and will the size work? Thanks,

For a road tire, that's a significant diameter increase for a 15 inch rim. My '96 has the optional stock 235/75x15 that's around 29" in diameter. I'm not an offroader but your selected size dimensions sounds close to the 10.50x15 size which members of this forum say fits 2nd gen wheel wells.
I've decided to go with 255/70x15 to replace my stock size on stock wheels. Since my use is all onroad, I wanted to keep diameter close to original to not loose much speedo accuracy.
