Hey guys looking for some new rubber, probably going to go with 265/70/R16 on my 04 XLS. Been shopping around for a little while and was wondering any opinions you guys may have on the tires your running. I know a lot of you have that size and I'm deff open to all suggestions. Im in Northern NJ so we get some snow from time to time in the winter but I don't really do much 4 wheeling (anymore lol). I also plan on doing the Quicklifts in the future as well. Let me know what you guys think.

Been looking at these......

Firestone Destination A/T?
Cooper Discover AT3?
BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A?

I have 265/70/17 on my 04 that I had the wheels powder coated black. It looks really good and the bigger tires fill the wheel well nicely with no rubbing at all. I had 235/70/16 and they look tiny on it. I am going to buy Nitto Terra Grapplers they are a really nice tire I hope to have them on by summers end.

You picked some good choices...I will ordering Cooper Discoverer AT3's for our Colorado/Utah road trip in the '03 Explorer (price and "wife choice"), and I run the Destination A/T's in 12.50x33 on my XJ now. The Destinations came with the XJ when I bought it, but they just won't slow me down enough to go ahead and replace them....(please excuse XJ pic, but it shows the tires working, cleaning surprisingly well)

I know of two guys running the Rugged Terrain's right now, and with all the recent rain here in on the east coast, they love them for wet roads, decent off-road traction (when common sense is used) with little noise, and a rugged look with those sidewalls.

Awesome, those are the three that I narrowed it down to, no I just have to pull the trigger on a set. I also have my wheels painted black and I love the look so Im excited to finally fill the wheel wells. Those 235's are just way too small. I will post pics in the right thread of my ride I just dont know how to post them yet lol. Thanks for the feedback guys.
