So my last debacle with my truck is over...only needed an alignment. My parents agreed to pay half of my tires. :D So what ya'll thinking on tires. if you could provide a brief description and about the price you paid, that would be awesome!! I like the duratracs, mastercraft courser axt, and dynapros.

Being that you are in MI I would think that you can get some good deals on Cooper tires. I would go with the Discoverer AT3's if they offer them in the size you need. They respond great in the snow and on the ice. You might lose some MPG, but the additional traction is well worth it in my world.
I really cannot comment on pricing because everyone is different in terms of installation costs etc.

okay. thanks for the info :)

You know what I'm gonna suggest...

lol I would totally if I could afford them. They are by far the best looking tire I have seen. But, I am poor as hell lmao.

What sizes are you looking for? I'll shop around for ya. I only paid $146 a piece for mine. If you go down to a 15" wheel they'll be sooooooo much cheaper, just saying. I paid less for five matching tires and rims then I would've paid for four 285/75/16's.

265 70 16 would be what I would want stock. I could always buy 15" rims on craigslist. I only have a shackle and tt lift at the moment. Sooo....what would you suggest for the 15" rim?

Wow, talk about an odd ball size that you're not gonna find a cheap replacement for. Just saying. What's your price range?

I'll be up in Detroit next Saturday if you wanna meet up before my works' christmas party. I found a couple sets of wheels and tires around me I can post some links if interested.

next saturday sounds pretty good!! Post some links lol I am all eyes and ears!! where in detroit are you gonna be at??

At most prolly 650....lol I know that is pretty limited, but I have to be careful...

MGM Grand Hotel/ Casino is where the party is at.

I like the nexen (?) tires. What time is it there? I am guessing some good tread?? I guess i will have to call in order to find out what they are like. and the MGM is nice, I have been there a couple times.

****whoah...$900 bucks no way lol. I only want the tires anyways!

OH...and i was wondering if--depending on how long you are in town--maybe we can go on the trails? Kazer is willing to come so thats three of us. I know you werent planning on wheeling up here but if you wanted to, we could. I like those nexens but they want alot for em.

if you arent afraid to haggle, youll be suprised what kind of deals you can get. i got a set of 33" x 12.50" duratracs from discounttiredirect.com for 640 total, shipped to my door. i talked them into free shipping and no tax. you just have to have a good mouthpiece.

here's my pick for your next tire:

I am pretty good at haggling....lol what size are those?? could I fit them with a 2.0 inch shackle and tt lift??

It's gonna be a long drive up on Saturday and back on Sunday (multiple stops unless Matthew hopefully sleeps for most of the ride) since my wife and 14 month old son are coming so wheelin' is probably out.

Should've planned ahead but I didn't even think about it (too busy with work and working on my truck lately). I noticed you were from Detroit are so I fihured I could atleast meet a couple of members while I was up there.

The Nexxen's are brand new and come with new rims, I think it's a tire shop with a package deal.

I agree with Lono, that's how I got mine so cheap. Found the cheapest price online then went to local Goodyear dealer, told them the price, they took their selling price from $196 to $146.

Lono has 33x12.50x15's like me but without the body lift.

Ahhh...yeah we should all meet up for a little bit! Kazer is up for it.....I may just order from direct or pressure some poor shop into price matching lol usually they budge. I am buying in cash too.

if you have some time me and kazer could meet you down there so you dont have to drive more north than you have to. I am sure there are plenty of places to hang at down there. or we can come out towards me. up to you.

Dynapro's man. Ive got the 265/70 r16 and they are amazing tires for super cheap. Only complaint I have is that they are tiny (not my decision though). I have the AT's but whenever I get to have new tires I'll get the MT version in a 285/75r16. That will be a while though since they last forever
