Sure, but you gotta' buy new wheels also. Check the clearance too, but they should be fine.

I've got 265/70/16 on mine.
I have a bit of a lift, I couldn't tell you how much above stock because it was lowered when I got it.

That was a stock option size in the US. I think it was the standard size for Limited models.

Last year I upgraded my '99 Mounty from 235/75/R15's to 255/70R/16's after I scored a set of factory 16" wheels on Craigslist for $100. With no lift they just fill up the wheel well so much nicer.

265/75/R16's are 1.59" taller and .39" wider than 255/70R/16's. I'm not sure they would fit with out a lift and possibly some cutting.

Your gas mileage may decrease going to a larger tire, just a heads up.

Yep. I've got 16s off a '98.
