I've seen so many variations on mileage but I think a lot of people with V6s are posting on threads that are meant for V8s. Can you post your mileage ONLY if you have a 5.0 V8 AWD.

Thanks! :D

14-17 highway

10-13 city

mods- e cam, custom chip, all bolt-on airflow goodies, and she's gained about 1,000 lbs over stock.

stock i saw numbers 3 mpg higher than that

why can't I vote?

17.5 city
18-20+highway

Can't vote but 17-20 is it.

Moderators - Can you take a look to see why no one can vote?

Thanks!

i cant vote either

Average 15-16 MPG. Way better than my '94 and I have power to go with that gas mileage.

all stock except a K&N. between 13 and 14.8mpg.

I get about 14-15 MPG City

Im getting 245-250 miles to a tank.not sure what that is in mpg? But that's with mixed driving and a HEAVY foot

I stil can't figure out what you guys are doing beyond either not taking care of your engines or modifying them...

I have a stock 5.0 AWD 135000+miles and I still get 360+ miles per tank 17.5 +city (just calculated it again today) and I don't "baby" this thing. I use the power slide to move the rear end arround in the snow...

I have a lightweight foot (about 3 lbs.) with poor muscle tone (can't push the pedal too hard) and I get 17 mpg 75% highway

umm...My motor is prolly in better shape then your's. I change the oil every 3k.Just did the plug's and wires. I am also running full SYN in everything else. I just have a VERY heavy foot i floor it off every stop light..ect

65k miles and going strong

i got about 11.5 durring the winter...and now that spring has rolled around i get about 10.5

but all my driving is in town, either cruising, and school is only 1/2 mi away...so about everyday i put on a mile...and then on the weekends i cruise around town for 3+hrs

I was getting 13.5 to 14.5 mpg in combination driving,
but since I put on a set of MT/Rs, my mileage has dropped to 11.5-12.5 at best.
Plus the handling and braking have gone to the crapper.
But they look so sweet. :D

I hate people like you, or at least I did in High School

1: your so close you could just walk!
2: your not warming up your engine (hence the low milage)

synthetic does not a better engine make...

I change under 3K usually (because that's when I'm home.
it was a company car with all highway miles on it.

I'm not say ing my engines better, but we do take about the same care of them (and you still get poor milage, LMAO)

On my 99 AWD V8 Mountaineer, I was getting 15.9 mpg (over 5 tanks) mixed city/highway commute, 50 miles/day, north of Atlanta suburbs. On one highway trip, I got 18.0. This is all dividing miles traveled by gallons.
I have found that the mileage on the message center always calculates high, about 1 mpg, over actual.
I recently installed the Apten chip, running on 87 octane, and my performance is much better, and mileage went up. So far on 4 tanks, averaging 16.7. I believe that my highway mileage will go up more, maybe 2 mpg, just judging from the indications on the message center. As my level road instant mpg is at least 2-3 mpg more over what it was before the chip.

I would love to get some advice on why mine (and others apparently) are guzzling gas. I do all the reccomended service intervals and only have 31K on the ODO. I bought it used so I can't speak about the first 26,000 miles though.
