Those of you who used Plasti-Dip: did you use aerosol cans, paintbrush, or roll-on?

I'm definitely thinking about doing this to my newly-acquired '03 Sport.

aerosol cans. Just the ones you buy at Home Depot for $6. If you go to dipyourcar.com they have a bunch of stuff like different nozzles and spray triggers that make it much simpler

We updated the wheels a couple weeks ago and today I Spent most of the day plasti-dipping (6 coats) the grey to black on our Sport Trac. Also remounted the rear bumper to fix the sagging and a couple other goodies. It was quite a bit of work so I hope it holds up! Before and after pictures.... The step bars were added about 6 months ago.

Looks like a whole new truck, great job.

Looks good! What sort of prep work did you have to do? What did you do for the top of the bumper?

Sorry for the delay. We just washed very well with dish soap. Everything was removed from the truck except the front bumper. So far it has held up really well. I am surprised.

For the top of the bumper we masked off the painted areas leaving a slight overhang of the tape at the crease so there would be a clear end to the spray.
