well i was searching the computer inventory at work and found some rims for 60 bucks a piece, they are 15x7 with a 5-4.5 bolt pattern, i know all that fits, but the backspacing is -6, is that too much? i know that it will stick out, but will it too much? i do want it a little, but not like the the essays around here.
thanks for any input.

-6 -- i've never heard of such. I've heard of offset, which can be like -35 and stuff. See if its a typo. Also, the ideal backspacing is 3.75 for our vehicles.

i'll check on that, yeah but i know it said -6 for sure. oh well.

Hey educate me, how can the offset be as large as negative 35 (assuming thats in inches) ?

Its -35 milimeters.

Ahhh fascinating. thanks! I was wondering how a wheel could possibly have almost 3ft of offset ;)

im not really sure what the offset is. whats the difference between offset and back spacing, whats a good offset for the explorer? may be stupid questions but i dont know much about rims, other than diameter, width, and bolt pattern. thanks for the help

that was of alot help, thanks, so then the -6 offset should stick the wheel out a bit, but is it too much??

Here is a picture of my old Eagle Alloys wheels with some 12.50 TrXus M/Ts. The specs on the wheel are 15x8, -30mm Offset, and 3.25" (3-1/4") backspacing. I think they looked perfect. This is to show you what -30mm offset looks like.
