Too much OCD on scorched rear axle surface?

I scored the axle housing by screwing in a bolt without the cover (had some issues with torque wrench so I was testing the wrench to see if it was working...had an issue with it last time I used it)

Didn't realize that the type of bolt used for the rear axle would score a circle.

Well anyways, I figure that the axle sealant/RTV would seal the score, which it seemed to...but can't get it out of my mind that I did that and whether I should have any worries about it going forward??

Shouldn't be a issue, if you're worried just keep track of it for the next week or so.

If you used a gasket, maybe. RTV? Nerp. That puppy ain’t leakin’.
