About to embark on my first time changing the rotors on my 02 and I just wanted to make sure I have the right tools. Could someone give me an idea of the sizes I will need? Do you folks think I may need a slide hammer for extra force? I don't have one yet but it did occur to me. Thanks!

hammer and a ratchet set, metric.
the slide hammer will do nothing since you want the rotor off not the hub.

I had a stuck rotor last week that I couldn't get off, and didn't have a deadblow/sledge hammer to knock if off...

So I ended up using a 50lbs plastic dumbbell which worked like a charm :D

Excellent, thanks folks!

Did manage to get my hands on a slide hammer just in case....

found an easier way after many years of the BFH
search youtube for 'Remove Rusted Ford Truck / Expedition Brake Rotors'

That video is awesome! I've seen many threads describing the procedure but it is nice to actually see it done. I have always used the BFH. It's nice to know that my next brake job will go a lot smoother!! - Rondo
