I have a 1993 Explorer 5speed, and back when it was stock, it's hit 110 mph by GPS, only in 4th, though. if I upshifted, I was lucky to get 90 or 95. You guys have seemed to have forgotten 5th gear is "overdrive", which was made for fuel economy. in a 5 speed, your top gear speed will be 4th gear, 99% of the time. This doesn't just apply to Explorers.
