great thanks! I was sure it would but am having trouble getting it to go? The exp I took it from had a locked up motor would that be a problem

Locked up motor? Try pulling the plugs, add some marvel mystery oil in the cylinders, let it sit for a few days. Then, seperate the bell housing from the engine, stick a prybar between the flywheel and torque converter and pull, this should free it up.

The only way I could think of pulling off a torque converter without moving the flywheel involves a plasma cutter, and I'm pretty sure you don't want to go that route.
