As I understand it, the late model IFS Explorers utilize a torsion-bar setup to correct ride height.
Has anyone torque'd up thier bars to gain the proposed 1-2 inches? I have heard rumours that this can be done fairly simply and effectively without any disadvantages (except maybe a new alignment).
Mated with an air-bag added to the rear leafs to level off the ride and give me load carrying adjustablilty, might be a good interm solution while I wait forever for a proper lift kit??
Thoughts/ideas??
