I just recently replace my shocks with the edelbrock ISA shocks and love them. I know that there are no lifts for my year explorer but you can adjust the torsion bar to get 1.75 inches in the front. My guestion is do you have to replace the shocks after doing this or will they be fine?? Thanks for any help!

With only about 2inches of lift you should be fine. It depends on the shock itself. I'm not sure how far these shocks and go but I'm willing to bet you'll be fine. I'd say go for it.

I didn't have any problems with my new Eddelbrock shocks when I had my '97 up 1.75". The fronts definately shouldn't be a problem since you aren't extending how far the shock has to travel. Your shocks are extended about like they would be if you went over a large bump. Your front wheel only has so much travel up and down. You didn't change that. All you changed is where it rests in that range. Your rears regardless of whether you go with the longer shackels or add-a-leaf should be fine. Although they will be extended down by as much as you lift the rear meaning it does have more travel. Mine never seemed to reach the end of their limits on my rears. I ended up lowering it down to a 1" lift though since whenever I made sharp turns on asphalt, it made a grinding noise in my front end and was hard to steer.
