Hey. Ive heard that if ya give your torsion bars a twist u can get a good 1.5 - 2'' lift? is this true? and is it only on the front end? are there any effects to how bumpy or smooth the car rides?

It is true. It is only for the front end. The rear can be lifted to match using Warrior shackles (WAR-153) and/or add-a-leafs. And it will tighten and firm up the front suspension. It might ride a little rougher than it did before, but most don't seem to mind it. The ride is too soft IMO anyway.

I suggest you do a search. There are plenty of threads around here that discuss all aspects of this mod. It's really popular around here.

I can only add that this would be the best way to start "lifting" your X. TT in the front has to be compensated with either an add-a-leaf or longer shackles in the back.

go at it! it's a good start

Good luck!
