torsion twist help plz! :0

So i was lowering my 96 2wd xlt today trying to achieve at least 2 inches. my passenger side torsion bolt came out completely and my car is only lowered an inch at most. my driver side bolt is still in a good bit. did i do something wrong or is my car just destined to not be lowered?? :/

that just means that the torsion bar isnt as worn on that side. you can buy lowering keys on ebay relatively cheap.

the bars side to side can vary a bit as they are not all made at the same time or of the same batch of metal
if you want lower you may have to look at other solutions such as airbags or coilover shocks,if the bolts are all the way down, or in this case 1 is,,

i ended up fiddlin with it for an hour or so. loosened both almost all the way out, took it for a drive and it was about an inch lower when i returned home. ended up getting about 3 inches on both sides.
