Torsion Twist question HELP

I just went and did the torsion twist. I see a lot of people saying not to go over 2 inches because of wear on the cv joints. My question is why would my explorer not go over 1 inch when i did the tt. The bolt got tight as it could possibly be at 1 inch of lift. Not that i care because i can tell the difference even with just the 1 inch im jus curious. Thank you

Well if you used the stock bolts you probably just ran out of bolt. Many people go out and buy a longer bolt from fastenal(spelling?) to achieve closer to 2 inches of lift. I believe they use a M12x1.75 100mm long but there are threads on it.
