Heys guys, just got a quick question bout twisting the T bars on my Ex. I drive a 95 and i would like to fit BFG 31's. I would like to put a suspension lift on her but there are none available for that year. My quesion is, if i were to do a TT on the front suspension would i be hurting the front suspension and possably reducing the life span of the front ball joints? If so how bad?

Thanks

You can probably fit the 31s at your stock height, i did. As far as the TT goes, it wont damage anything as long as you don't exceed 2". Anything in excess of that will bind the CVs. To level it out in the back you can do add a leaf or lift shackles, or both.

i have been running the 31's on a twist all summer, and so far, no problems, ,
and i do a fair amount of off roading,,
what tires are you looking at ?

I would like the BFGoodrich 31X10.5R15. If i did a torsion twist to about 1.75" will i need a add a leaf kit and shackles or will just a add a leaf kit do the job?

just shackles alone will get the back up enough,
i have both add a leaf and shackles, and i had to crank the tbars up quite a bit, but it works, and rides decent,, and flexes decent still,

Delta, is it a 4WD? Not that there's a need to exceed 2" with a TT, but if it's a 2WD doesn't the lack of a CV joint make it negligible? And to answer your ball joint question, yes they will wear faster

Nope, it is just 2WD. The Lift on this truck would be mostly for looks. I really just want it to sit higher and put in tires that would fill in the wheel well a little more. I have been hesitant on doing a TT because of the fear of having to replace a ball joint or a whole new a arm assembly but i really do not want to put on a body lift. I am pretty sure i am going to do a TT along with shackles and a add a leaf kit, that seems like my best option.
