Does doing a torsion twish to lift the front up hurt any components?? i read it wears out CV joints quicker, but i also read if it's not lifted any more than 2 inches it wont damage anything??

That pretty much sums it up. You crank to much it will damage parts faster.

Alright i see...so if i do a torsion twist, and extended shackles, will that level out to be an even 1.5-2 inches?

You may also need an "Add-a-leaf" to add more height to the back. The leaf springs start to sag over time.

I suggest doing lots of searching and reading in the "Suspensions" forum here: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=10

Two threads are a great read:
1) "Torsion Bar 101" by Cbough76 - its stickied at the top
2) "Add-a-leaf" by Heath - search for it.
