I've seen all the tow hook threads here, but none of them helped me out for what I'm looking for. I don't want the hook kind, I want the hoop kind, cause I like the way those look better. It's like the ones you see on Expeditions etc, where it's a hoop kinda thing, not a hook. If I have to go with hooks, I want them to be flat, not vertical (you know, going from like left to right, not top to bottom) Any ideas? Thanks.....

Go up to the Ford Dealership and order some tow hooks from a 2001-2002 Explorer Sport or Sport Track. I have them on my 2001 Sport and there stock and are badass. There not hook there solid and hooped like your looking for. My friend has a Z71 and i have better hooks than him. Give that a shot see how much they are and reply and tell me if there expensive i sell you mine most likely. I'm making mine a street truck and getting the lower billet grill so i have to take them off. Good Luck

This is what I use on the front. I bought them at an Ace Hardware and they were called "The Big Orange" and they were orange before I sandblasted them.

I had to stretch them about an 1/16" to get it over the frame rail, and the pin fits right through one of those triangle shaped holes in the frame rail.

Thanks Johnny! Those are the nice thick black ones right? Those are what I'm really lookin for...

Let us know how much they are and how they mount if you can.

Thanks

I will drive to the dealer tomorrow, and let you know everything. :)

So I went to the dealer today, and they told me each hook is $41.25 WITHOUT hardware to install them.... what BS is that? I asked them how much it would be just to have them do everything, and they said about $150. That's insane!!!!

almost anything purchased from a dealer is major $$$$$$. I checked today for the nuts that hold the sliding tie downs on the roof rack, 5.38 each for a .10 piece of metal. I will stick wiht the modified nuts and washers.

Tim

About the hooks- you may want to check around for the che#* ones. I thought I remembered a post a while back about getting the nice chevy hooks for $10-$20
