are they for the front or rear? either way Get them welded on-they can tear through the frame if bolted. I have those same hooks. My front ones are welded and my rear ones are bolted for now. I also have a body lift so it was a little easier for me to choose where to put them.

here is what i did...ill dig pics up later
First: remove your front bumper(4 bolts)
Drill 1/2 holes i coordinated mine with existing holes. Then take a wrench and insert it through the frame rail and bolt them up.
Do the same thing for the other hook

It took me about 2 hours seeing as the bolts are a bit annoying to fish through the rails.

BTW: dont weld them bolt them. Welding the hooks is dangerous.

Weld em to your big f'in bumper :)

yeah i heard it was bad to weld them to the frame. I plan on doing the same thing over the summer. good luck.

Welding them to your frame is a heck of alot safer and better than bolting them as long as whoever is welding them knows what they're doing and puts them in a ok location. What happens alot with these kind of hooks is they rip out of the frame. (tear right through the metal) as to welding them on they pretty much become part of your frame. If you decide to bolt them on have someone at least just tap weld the front of the hook incase it decides to tear out and fly a million MPH into someones head or vehicle.

if you rip off a tow hook your frame doesn't exist or your pulling to hard. But welding a hook is dangerous..i have always heard this as for ripping a hook through the frame use some sheet metal 1/4" and use it as a backer so it could not rip the frame.

I have mine welded all the way around the hook. The hook is rated at 10,000 pounds but the weld is good for 70,000 pounds....They arnt going anywhere....Ive put them to the test....you could always bolt them and weld them!;)
