Towing Capacity for a 91

I looked in the sticky section and it listed towing capacities for 97 and newer.

I don't have the owners manual for my X so could some one tell me my towing capacity or point me in the direction for me to find out.

Specs: 91, 4.0L, auto, 4 door, 3.73 gears, add-a-leaf, 31" tires, class III hitch.

Unfortunately, manuals were only available online back to 97: I don't know of a source for older manuals.

Is it 4x4 or 2wd? I remember seeing on the site that if it's 4x4 then the capacity is 5,2XXlbs. And for 2wd IIRC it's 5,4XXlbs. This is with 3.73 gears like you have however, the bigger tires may offset the gearing. Therefore the capacity may be lower but I'm not sure by how much.

It's a 4X4...didn't think that mattered.

Hopefully someone with a factory manual will chime in.
