I have been thinking about switching to synthetic 75W90 in my rear differential, to help improve my MPG's (it's been 4 years since my last confes.. er, fluid change.)
But, I do tow a camper maybe 4 or 5 times a year. It's a 17' hybrid, not sure of weight. Our trips aren't too long, maybe 150 miles maximum each way, but part of that is up and down the rolling mountains of Shenandoah National Park.
What's the consensus among the learned elders here, on doing this?
(FTR, my vehicle's a '99 Mountaineer 5.0L/AWD)
