Towing with a 99 Ranger XLT 3.0L auto.

I'm new to this forum and I have my first question already. I want to tow a 300lb 5x8 trailer with a 850lb motorcycle on it with my 99 Ranger 3.0 4x4 XLT from OH to FL and back. I have a Class 3 hitch on it. Problems? I've towed some U-haul's (5x8 & 6x12) before with no problems. Just wonderin'? Thanks

Still looking for any advice on towing a 850 lb motorcycle on a 350 lb 5x8 trailer with a 99 Ranger 3.0 auto 4x4?

From what I can see, the capacity of that engine and transmission is about 2,000 pounds. Bike and trailer are 1,200 pounds. My guess is that on flat ground, you'll be fine; on hills, you'll dog; and downhill, you'll cruise.

Thanks Flounder, I didn't think it'd be too big a problem, I have a trans cooler on the truck (tow package w/ 3.27 gears & class 3 hitch) just wanted to be sure though!
