Went to start 'er up today and turn the key to ignition and nothing doesn't even try. Turning the key also caused relays to start clicking like mad and the door locks/lights to start going crazy even with the key out. Finally disconnected to the battery to shut the truck up.

Started up first try half an hour later after reconnecting the battery. Haven't seen anything like this before. Is it a dying PCM? Is my truck haunted?? I don't know.

If I swap the PCM do I need an exact match or can I pull one from any 4x4 expo and just flash it at Ford?

First things first. Clean battery terminals and battery posts. Be sure you have a tight connection. Check the battery ground wire that goes to the frame. Check all wires for corrosion or bubbling on wire insulation. Have your battery checked for free and an auto parts store.
Failing battery, loose connections, and corrosion are the number 1 cause to electrical and no start/no crank issues.
Once you have done this and you are still having an issue, report back. Get a volt-meter. There are voltage checks that you can do(power to starter, cranking voltage, voltage drop tests, etc..)
Don't even consider replacing the PCM. Electrical gremlins are a known issue with our Trac's when the battery is failing and/or has poor electrical connections.

Wow I never would have guessed just a poor connection or dying battery could cause these weird issues. I will inspect tomorrow or Monday and report back

Battery and electrical all looks in good shape. Negative post was SLIGHTLY loose I did tighten it up and haven't had any problems since. Coincidence or could that actually cause these weird problems?

It absolutely could have caused thoe problems.
