Got Any 06+ Explorer Track times?
There is a sticky for all year ex's here
I took our 06 v8 to the track last week. Best run:
-1/4 mile - 16.054
-mph - 86.78
This was at a Density Altitude of 2,313 based on elevation and weather (78 degrees)
I also used the Dynolicous iphone app and it appears to be about .3 tenths and 2-3 mph slow. I say that because back in November with a DA of -860 somewhere else - Dynolicous said it ran a 15.68 @ 86.4.
Weather and elevation will have an effect.

Can you tell us what your base setup is?.. ie: 3rd row seating, 4x4, etc?

Sure,
Again it's an 06 EB V8 - 2wd, 3rd row manual seats, rear A/C (thinking of things that add weight) and about 38k miles right now. Mods right now are custom ram air (search for EB nostril ram air) drop in K&N and a FM 50 SUV muffler with straight tube resonator.
Best time was achieved with a quick burnout to clean the tires and then power braking some right before launch and "manually" shifting to 2nd & 3rd gears although all runs even in "D" with some spin achieved runs in the 16.0 - .2 range. Again I think there is much more in it if run on a cooler day and if the car itself was cooled down more (mid 15's)
I didn't ice the intake like I used to do with my stang since it is now plastic but it was still pretty warm from the hour plus drive up there so I will next time.
Hoping to add a tune in the future - we will see.
