traction control

on my sport 1999 X it has some sort of traction control because on the 4x4 switch it says auto and whenever the back wheel slips the fon wheel kicks on. What is this and can it be disabled. I cant do any dounuts now or burnouts and it aint good for muddin

yes it can be disabeled. Doa search for "brown wire mod" and there is a sh*t load of info on it. Basiclly you just clip the brown wire that is under your seat and put it on a switch and then you have 2hi. Also you can get the wire from behind the radio faceplate.
