So I want to start pulling a trailer, built a hitch, now I need to start digging into this wiring. Someone had a piece of wire jumped across where the fuse used to be, so that tells me I have problems to begin with, also the wiring from the connector under the driver tail light is mangled, so I was going to re-make that while I was at it. Does anyone have a link to a diagram?
Check out my hitch, made for about $40 from scrap and found parts. It’s going to be the base for a bumper.

Ok so I just hooked up an led tester to the plug under the taillight. Right blinker works, left blinker lights up the running light led/wire, hazards and breaks flash the same. When I turn the lights on none of it works. I’m thinking there is maybe a pinched wire somewhere causing a short between yellow and brown, left and tail lights?

Good news! I’m an idiot! Lol
So in the pics you can see the factory harness minus the trailer connector that was mangled, replaced with a new one. Both of these will plug into the connector under the tail light, but the wiring is different. I figured I would just plug in the trailer connector to eliminate some wiring to make trouble shooting easier... well if you look at the connectors next to each other you will see my mistake. So if your working on the same thing, don’t make my mistake.
Anyhoo, the lights work properly, so I will just go ahead and replace the jumper for fuse 7 with the proper 20 amp maxi and should be good to tow.
If someone could move this to the Tow Rig forum that would be awesome, I didn’t know it existed, and I don’t know how to do that.
