Gonna put 32's or 33's on my Ex. I know I am gonna throw my speedo WAY off. ¿Is that going to affect my shift points so bad that it won't be worth it? I am told by the Ford dealership that the shift points are based off my wheel sensors rather than my speedo. Also, I am told that if I change my speedo gear, that with the wheel sensors sending another signal this could cause big problems. ¿Is that right? ¿Just how bad these 32's or 33's gonna affect my drive train? I got 3.73 positracs

Your auto shift points will be fine since it's based on load as well as RPM. However, you should calibrate your speedo. Though your 2000 does not have a speedo gear, it has to be done through the computer (a chip) or Superlift has an electronic gizmo to change the speedo signal.

About how much one of them things

¿About how much one of them things set me back? The guy at the Ford place said it' could not be done on their computer but that I would have to buy a new gear. He said that even though it is electronic it has a gear that can be changed he explained to me.
I really wanted one of those hypertech or superchip tuners (the ones that you program and can program the tires size in to compensate) I think they called them Microtuners. The problem is I couldn't find one for a 4.0 SOHC Just the V8's and Diesels. But, if you know of one lead me in the right direction please.

I'd go for the Superlift one, not the JET one. You could also get Apten to custom tune a chip for you with the correction, and you'd be getting the power added from the chip too. You could always send it back to him for a change in tire size.

Your 2000 should be all electronic, I do not believe there is a speedo gear, I believe the Ford guy was wrong (isn't that nice?)!

Yeah, they should be able to do it with the ford diagnostics computer. Gerald had his done at the dealer when he went up in size.

Mine is off by about 6-7% with 32" tires. So when its reading 75 mph, I'm really going 80 MPH. Not that big of a deal. The one problem is for a 300 mile trip (usually 1 tank of gas on the highway), my odometer reads 18-19 miles less than what I've gone due to the increased tire size (32" vs. 30"). I wonder if this is elligible for odometer fraud? If not, i'm putting 35's on and keeping the mileage nice and low...hehe.

Anyway, the moral of the story is, I will eventually get my speedo fixed which will also correct my odometer but not until i get a speeding ticket. If i get a speeding ticket, i'll just have my speedo recalibrated and take the calibration ticket into court. No speeding ticket, just pay the malfunctional equipment fee and be on your way. :D

Bought the shackles

I bought the Auto Zone shackles (first of all am I going to regret that?) I am going to do a 2"TT and add the shackles. Are these 32's really gonna fit? Or will I still have to do some fender trimming. I have the steps and I don't mind trimming those. My problem is, I have that bumper that is just two fat chrome spots at the end with the fog lights in the bumper. ¿Will that be a problem spot without a body lift? Also, if I get them these are 32 x 11.50's.

I have the same bumper as you. I had my 265/75R16's (32x10.50's) installed before i did my 2" BL and they rubbed my rear tupperware (corner of fender flare and plastic wheel well). After the 2" BL they fit great. If you mount them on your stock rims, you will get away with just trimming (but WILL have to trim). If you get offset rims you're more than likely going to need a body lift to clear them unless you're friends with cutters and have no fear cutting your fenderflares. Digger ran with 32x11.50's on his stock rims for a while and has some pics of the trimming he had to do. Section525 tried the same but with rims with a 3.25 offset and HAD to do a body lift. Just to let you know

As long as it's minor crap

As long as it's minor crap that you can't see, I don't care. If I have to actually cut metal, I might shy away from that... Plastic can be changed out easily from your friendly local neighborhood junk yard after a body lift is added at a later date. Actual fenders on the other hand, that is another story. As long as it is just the tupperware stuff I don't really care.
