I just recently had to get mine rebuilt too. I took the transmission out of the truck myself, and then gave it to the tranny shop. I still ended up paying almost $1,000. The labor cost was $360, and parts ended csting the rest! The bearing/seals kit was $270 or so I believe...plus I needed some other gears and synchros that weren't in that kit. If I wouldn't have taken the tranny out myself it would have cost me another $360 in labor. The rebuilt tranny has a one year unlimited miles warranty.
Also note that I replaced the clutch myself so the price of the clutch/pressure plate/slave cylinder were not included in that $1,000.
All this it 95k...I guess I should go a little easier on it!
