Well, I am back after my trip to The Outer Banks........
I made all the preps....tuneup, coolant change, hoses, belt, lube, oil, fuel filter, manual front hubs, new KC lights and grill guard.....etc etc
Just one thing I didnt figure on.....The tranny blew a seal!
We were on the beach and the smell of tranny fluid filled the air.........GOt out, looked under the truck....tranny fluid.
Checked the level, added 1.5 quarts.....started it up and wanted to get off the beach....went a few feet and all progress forward stopped......Added MORE fluid.......got me off the beach to a parking lot......BIG puddle of tranny fluid, no reverse or neautral.........just forward...........even in park! AAAAAAWWWWW CRRRRRAAAAPPP!!
Long story short...........$2300 at AAMCO and a new rebuilt tranny....
Doesnt quite do the kickdown shift very well, but they will adjust that at the 10-day checkup...........
Man, I cant win for losing!
