bump - I want to know the same thing...A tranny cooler is in the works in the very near future...I'm thinking - out of the tranny, through the stock cooler, to the aftermarket cooler, to the external tranny filter, and back...it's take some work, but it should stay really cool then and hold like 15 quarts of fluid..haha

I don't think you will have to tap a new

Line. just change out your old one for a larger one.
Thats what i did and now on the highway my trans temp. is running around F, which is a lot better then F (which is what it was running at before the change.
Also I would add an Aug. trans filter about 50.oo for the one with out the gauge and 79.oo for the one with the gauge.

A dirty way is to attach a small baggy to the end of each line. Tape it on or whatever. Then without starting the engine...just crank it over a few times. The baggy with the most fluid in it is the out. And again don't start the engine...just turn it over a few times.

Oh...make sure you put what's inside the bags back into the tranny. :)

Did you forget to incert the temp reading?

I had the same question when I installed my Aux Tranny filter.
This might help.
