Im hoping someone can help me here, The ole Exploder err Explorer is leaking tranny fluid from the front it looks like between where the block and the bell housing bolt together. It could be fine for a week then it will start leaking like crazy then it will stop for a while. It makes no sense to me, any help is greatly appreciated. It is a 94 XLT no mods.

Im assuming you have an automatic transmission and if you drove it hard in hot weather (read 4wheeling :) you might have blown a gasket. Are you sure if its tranny fluid or is it motor oil?

positive it's tranny fluid. This happened about 2 weeks ago, It was low on tranny fluid I filled it up and it has been fine for about 2 weeks and today it was fine in the morning and in the afternoon it started leaking after hauling around about 600 lbs in it. There is no leak that I can find on the floor except today I seen it dripping from between the bell housing and the engine and it seems to pour out. I have a feeling when I top it off tomorrow and take it for a drive it will be fine again. Any Ideas?

I had a similar problem it ended up being a o-ring on the dipstick tube . just thought it would give a place for you to start. :D
