today my 2002 xlt with 71,000 miles started having shifting problems between 2nd and 3rd. It displays trouble code po745. od light started flashing.
I ran a search and found that others have had an identical problem, and replacement of the solenoid body will soetimes, but not allways fix the problem.
I see another post stating that the dealer must re-flash the pcm.
I'm taking it in to a shop for repair, but want to avoid paying the premium price at the dealer if possible, is this something an independant shop can handle, or can only the dealer re-flash the pcm?
I'm headed to the mountains on vacation next week towing a tent trailer (i hope) so time is of the essence, hoping I could take it in friday am and get it repaired (crossing fingers and toes)
