Ok so i'm driving along around 60 mph as the car shifts a gear i hear this sound coming from the tranny like an power saw!!! i mean its bad its like a buzzing sound like the gears are slipping!
I have checked the tranny oil and all seams to be ok there. I think i might need a new tranny? what do you think this could be and has anyone had a problem like this before?

thanks

Is it slipping?
Does it make the noise all the time?
If it makes it all the time there may be a loose heat shield, the starter bolts may be loose, flexplate bolts loose etc.
We need more info!

I dont think it is slipping, its when i was driving along and the auto box drops down into 2nd and then it makes a noise like a power saw!! then if you slow down a little it stops, if you put your foot down all is fine till you slow down again and the grear box drops into 2nd and then it starts again......... I hope that helps :'(

is this thing safe to drive?

thanks
