Tranny Problem

Whenever I go to put my Truck in Reverse from Park it will rev up pretty high and hesitate then it will finally kick into gear after about 3 or 4secs of reving? Anyone know what the problem is?

I had the same exact problem with my old '93 EB. Have you had the transmission fluid changed in a while? That helped with mine. It started out as a problem when reversing, and then was disengaging when putting it into drive.

Do a search under reverse servo gear

Look for low/reverse servo

I wrote a procedure to replace it in "Anybody rebuild an A4LD." Easy access by dropping the pan, just four bolts and $40 with filter and fluid change.
