Tranny Question

Is there any trannys out there that will bolt up to the stock 4.0 of my 93 that is better then the stock one? Also if not I tore mine up is there anything I can do to it to make it stronger?

I asked the exact same thing for my 92 and i found out that

A C5 with a c5 bellhousing, torque converter and flexplate will bolt up
A C4 with a C5 bellhousing , torque converter and flexplate will bolt up
A 700R gm tranny with aftermarket adapters from Advanced adapters will work but its more costly

Also, i do believe the C4 and C5 are 3 speed trannys and dont have overdrive. The 700r has overdrive i think and the C5 is found in bronco 2's i think

Are there any rebuild kits that include everything like bands,bushings,modulator,servos,sprags and everything this else the rebuild kits come with.

Ok i have read info from several different posts and if all was correct the C4 and C5 should bolt up to your stock transfer case

I really havent reserched enough to find out about the different rebuild kits that are out their. I think shooting a pm to Glacier991 would be a good idea because he seems to know a fair amount about the A4LD
