tranny questions...

hey guys... i think i am gunna need a new tranny pretty soon. my tranny has been leakin outta the shifting shaft, for a while, and once it gets warm, it sprays fluid all over from somewhere on the tranny, and it also does a little surging action at high rpms. lately, when it is cold, it will once in a while stay in between gears for a while, even after you let off the gas.... i was just wonderin what you guys thought would b the best tranny to stick in. whether it be to rebuild the one thats in it, or purchase a new one, or get a different one, if possible. thanx. or mayb you could help diagnose the problem...lol also, my gas milage has dwindled severely scince the first time the tranny pucked up a bunch of fluid... haven't changed the fluid, but have added when needed...

ya i'd say it needs to get rebuilt, but you can't say for sure unless you have it checked out by a preofessional, a rebuild is like 1600-1800(approx) but a new one from ford is like 2200(approx)
