I have a 94 X with a dead auto trans. I have a donor 91 X (overheated engine) with a 5 speed with 70K. I don’t want to use the 91 ECU for the following reasons: (1) I don’t think the 91 ECU will plug and play with the 94 ECU because of the EGR and cam position senor and probable other differences, (2) the 91 wiring harness has been hacked to death so I would rather not swap it, (3) I may want to go back to a built auto at some future date.
From what I can gather I need to do the following: (1) plug up the unused vacuum lines, (2) Put a 3 ohm resister where the solenoid was.
What else am I missing???? Reverse light? The clutch depression safety starter switch thing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am under some time pressure to get this done.
