trans fluid

I have a 99 sport with 53,000 miles on the auto trans, don't know when the fluid was changed last, I know I need mercon 5 but I want to get as much of the old fluid out. I was wondering if there was a drain plug on the Torque Converter when I pull the trans pan and change the trans filter

It would be best for u to take your X to a mechanic and have the tranny flushed.That would eliminate the need for a new filter and get all the old fluid out.I have mine flushed every 30,000 miles and my tranny has been trouble free for 120,000 miles!Good luck!

I am probably going to change the filter I had dirt on the dip stick the other day when I checked it, but probably going to flush it when I am at work this weekend
