would my bans be the reason why it will not stay in park..I talked to a guy that runs a shop and he told me that he has not heard about the park paw breaking???DOes this happen alot??

trying to figure out what i am going to do i go look at a trans tomorrow its supose to have 84k but what do i look for??

I was looking for somewhere i can see pics on how to tear the trans out i have the A4LD in a 94xlt??
This will be my first time taking a trans out on a 4x4 truck

The bands have nothing to do with the parking mechanism. There is a step by step thread on the top of the transmission section on removing the transmission.
