You do a master reset after and let it relearn properly? ?

I do have slight flare but thats about it..i was doing like you, just felt old and needed some updates..

The O-rings are under that pladtic sleeves you see on the shaft..that plastic slides back out of the way when you push the servos in..it keeps the Orings from pinching or tearing on the bore as you push them in.
When you did this, did you use a dowel rod and sand the bore like the video shows?

I did what the video shows, let it run and shifted through all of the gears slowly a few times. Drove gently around town for a couple days then more like I normally would. It definitely took a few days of warming things up to running temps before it "re-learned" the shift points and I noticed a difference, just like the guy in video said.

I used a pencil and 3m pad..mine didnt look to bad to be honest. .

I have developed a slip when under load and higher in rpms now..ive parked the truck till i can do the pack and shift kit with sonnax valves also

Well that sucks. After the install did you notice a difference in shifts? (before it started slipping)

No,like i said they didnt look to bad...honestly i think i have a broken spring or stuck/sticking valve ..or the solenoid pack just finally let go

Oh how much would I love to swap in a 5.0 trans from a 2nd gen with a FX4 Level II Ranger manual xfer case and solid 8.8 rear axle.......the best of everything.

The problem is that the case is the problem with ALL of them, and they will all eventually wear out.

Mustang guys have run upwards of 700hp through the 5r55s after the level 10 and the other updates..they all end up swapping them out it seems because of power levels so cant say how long they really last..

If you use the Oring servos or sleeved and bore/sleeve the valve body valves,i dont know what else really ""wears"" out
